SUGGESET STEPS FOR DEVELOPMENT DURING PADAYATRA - AT THE MEETING TO RELEASE 'GANTARAVAM' SONGS CASSETTE
'Gantaravam' Cassette and CD on District Comprehensive Development prepared by District Committee of Praja Natya Mandali
was released in UTF Hall, Guntur this Thursday evening the 12n January 2006. Addressing the gathering Dr.K.R.R.Mohan Rao,
Retd. Vice Chancellor, Nagarjuna Universiity suggested that backward regions and undeveloped sectors in the district should
be identified and steps for development should be explained to the people during padayatra. He lauded the inititive of CPM
for proposing padayatra for development of the district and requested everyone to support it.

Ms.D.Ramadevi, CPM Dist. Secretary speaking on the occasion said that the Padayatra to be conducted was with the encouragement
of 'Rytu Yatra' undertaken earlier on problems of farmers in the state. Since 3yrs, ruling classes world wide have been taking
steps, harmful to people, in the name of reforms, she said. She explained that plans are afoot for solutions after identifying
regionwise problems and that CPM has already completed padayatra in 14Districts. She projected padayatra as a forum for highlighting
the problems of people and for development of agriculture and industries.
B. Veeraiah, Hon. State President, Senior Citizens Welfare Association expressed concern about backwardness of Guntur
Dist.which is famous, having given birth to poets, artists and social reformers. He expressed happiness that CPM by its padayatra
is going to activate and enthuse the people.
Penugonda Lakshmi Narayana, State Gen.Secretary, Abhyudaya Writers Association said that Praja Natya Mandali and Abhyudaya
Literary Society have done great service in ending the landlord and feudal regimes and that songs released then, with communist
ideology are still in vogue.
Nuthalapati Kalidas, Dist.President, Praja Natya Mandali, speaking on the occasion, said that with the CPM about to undertake
Padayatra in the District, Praja Natya Mandali has prepared a cassette to take meaningful songs to the people and that the
20 songs were written to highlight problems in Comprehensive Development of the District .
The cassette was released by 'Vedayya', While CD was released by Dr.K.R.R Mohanrao in this meeting.First cassette was
purchased by Nagarjuna University professor N.Rangayya.Ramana ,Dist.Secretary, Praja Natya Mandali, Vempati Brahmiah and singer
Anjaneyulu also participated.
